POTTERY WORKSHOPS
GROUP HANDBUILDING WORKSHOP
Come and learn how to prepare clay, and handbuild using slab and coil methods. Then play with two techniques impress and relief to add texture.

Price includes keeping one item you create, which will be fired and I will add your chosen glaze after which you can then collect or have it posted to you at a later date.
(If you would like your pottery piece posted there is an additional charge of £5 which you can pay on the day.)

Half day workshops are aimed at beginners, an introduction to clay.

Usually 10.00am-12.30pm but can be flexible.
Anyone under 16 must have an adult accompanying them.

Payment on booking through the shop, cancellations only accepted up to 3 days beforehand otherwise you will not be refunded.
THROWING SESSION
Come and have a go at learning to throw on the wheel. This will be a relaxed session with a demonstration and guidance from myself. It can be for an individual or split between two people as I have one wheel. The session is aimed at beginners, and throwing smaller items such as cylinders, bowls and vases.

If you would like to keep any of your thrown pieces, there will be an additional charge of £5 per piece. You can choose a glaze that you would like it to be fired in.
If you would like your piece posted to you then there is a a further cost of £5.

WEEKLY POTTERY SESSIONS - BEGINNERS /RETURNERS
8 weeks NEW DATES
Consecutive Monday evenings 6.30-9 pm starting 02/09/24 to 28/10/24 with one weeks break on the 07/10/24
AND
Consecutive Thursday afternoons 2-4.30pm starting 05/09/2024 to 31/10/24 with one weeks break 10/10/24

Learn hand building techniques, decorative techniques and have a go on the wheel. The focus will be to hand build a tea set including a plate/saucer, mug , jug, sugar pot and teapot. I will show you a range of techniques to decorate but the aim will be to have a cohesive design. If you are a returner you are welcome to work on your own projects. The last 2 weeks will spent prepping for glazing and then glazing your work using the colours I have available.

First bag of clay 8kg bag included in price.
6 of your pottery pieces to be included in the price for glazing and firing. Any additional pieces there will be a small cost of between £1-5 per piece dependent on weight.
